Strawberry-balsamic & pistachio-fig ice cream cone
I woke up Saturday morning with the sweetest feeling of personal accomplishment. Just the day before, I donned my cap and gown and walked across the graduation stage on UCLA’s Wilson Plaza. Three years in the making, I finally attained my Master’s degree! The first day of post-grad life has been off to a great start… I slept in, met up with Toops & C for a late brunch of cast-iron baked eggs with mustard and collard greens, mushrooms, gruyere and grits at Square One, went on a hike in Griffith Park, then stopped by Scoops for some afternoon sweetness of strawberry-balsamic and pistachio-fig ice cream on a sugar cone, complete with a celebratory dash of sprinkles on top. Yes, I’m done, woohoo! Time to carry on with some serious chillin’.
