Diver scallops with piccolo basil & Meyer lemon
Graduation dinner with the fam at Craft. The entire tasting menu was delightful from start to finish, but I’d say the first course was my favorite of the night, the diver scallops. The scallops were prepared beautifully, dressed with these sweet, little basil leaves and Meyer lemon. Light and luxe. I must also mention that the service was absolutely spot on. Everyone from the hostess, to the bartender, to our waiter and bussers were competent, congenial and super attentive without being overbearing. It made the dining experience incredibly enjoyable and memorable. One might say that quality service is a given in fine dining (duh), but that’s not always the case. You’d be surprised at the level of slipshoddiness around town, so when you receive truly excellent service, it’s always worth mentioning. The folks at Craft know their craft and treat you well. I’m a big fan!
