Sunday brunch, my favorite meal of the day and of the week. Uyen was in town, so we took a leisurely stroll over to Abbot Kinney for coffees and a mid-morning meal. We finally got around to trying out the brunch menu at the Tasting Kitchen, and it did not disappoint. First things first, some aperitifs to get us into a giddy, brunching mood! A Bloody Mary for Uyen and a mimosa for me. Then, we ordered a few tasty plates. My favorite? I loved the chicken & waffle. My least favorite? The grapefruit. It was, um, interesting… but too saccharine with the questionable essence of Chinese medicinal tea. (I will not be ordering that again.) But overall, a solid spot for a lovely weekend meal.
