Today was the first day of my pastry internship!  I spent the morning learning how to make croissants(!!), cookies and caramel sauce, while doing my best to stay out of everybody’s way (“Behind!”).  There’s a lot of action in the back of the house when there’s a bakery, restaurant, bar and retail space all under one roof.  Busy and exciting!  Well, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this morning’s activities and can’t wait to go back in tomorrow.  You know, I feel really grateful to have been given this opportunity… I’m thinking that I’ll definitely stick with this for a while to see where it goes…
