kabaya coffee exterior tokyokabaya coffee tokyo menukabaya coffee tokyo menukabaya coffee tokyo menukabaya coffee tokyo toastkabaya coffee tokyo ginger ice espressoOoh, I loved Kabaya Coffee, a 74 year old kissaten (aka old school Japanese-style coffee shop) located near Ueno Park, Tokyo University of the Arts and some of those funky cat cafes in Taito-ku.  This was my absolute favorite coffee stop while in Japan.  I mean, how darling is that menu??  Food and drink were basic, but solid, and the ginger ice was refreshing relief on yet another sweltering day.  If I were a college student at Tokyo Uni, this would totally be my daily jam (with buttered toast).
